Part 2
Once everyone has made their contributions to our museum, it is time to begin organizing and assessing its contents. In a 700-800 word essay, imagine that you are now the head curator for the collection, which requires that you make decisions on how to best organize the contents. Consider the following:
What objects would you display together and why? (Note: you don’t have to mention every item; however, do be sure to consider the entire collection when choosing categories and then mention a few examples).
Collectively, what story (or series of stories) do the items tell about pursuing a liberal education?
What might museum visitors find intriguing about the objects? Remember that the context that is given to an object is as important as the object itself. Museums don’t just store knowledge, they organize it and craft it into narratives that impact the way people think and feel about a particular subject.
As an essay, this should have an introductory paragraph and a conclusion.
