Brainstorm topics of interest. Choose one topic , then translate that into a specific research question that could be addressed with a research study conducted by next year’s Intro Psych Lab class.
Conduct a literature search to locate at least 3 scientific primary (empirical) or review research papers that help provide necessary context for your research question.
Submit a double-spaced document containing the following:
Your Name
One overview paragraph to introduce your specific research question and why you think it is important.
For each scientific paper, write one brief paragraph to explicitly state the link between your question and the paper content. Include the key summary(ies) from the paper that are relevant to your ideas. Use the appropriate in-text citation.
A Reference list (on a new page) listing all the papers you cited. Adhere to APA 7th edition style.
You must also upload the entire PDF of each paper you cite. Canvas permits the upload of multiple files.
Your research proposal outline, References section, and all Reference pdfs should be uploaded to Canvas before the typical start of next class. Next week, you will be paired with a partner to both give and receive peer feedback.
