My dissertation involves myself conducting cognitive behavioral therapy on adults diagnosed with depression weekly over 8 weeks with a pre and post therapy PHQ-9 score being obtained.

Research Synthesis and Evidence-Based Intervention (4 Parts)
Part 1: The Johns Hopkins Individual Evidence Summary Tool
Before writing the synthesis, complete the Johns Hopkins Individual Evidence Summary Tool.
Enter a minimum of 10 (or more) research articles supporting the evidence-based intervention in the table.
Enter the correct information in each column (Appendix A in the DNP Project Manuscript Template).
Part 2: Brief Description of Intervention and Endorsement and Part 3: Themes of Research Evidence 
Begin this section with the name and brief description of the evidence-based intervention.
Identify the national organization or government agency that endorses the intervention, if applicable.
Start the synthesis section with a statement of how many articles are included that support the intervention related to the population and the outcomes of your project.
The synthesis section must include at least 10 articles supporting the intervention.
The articles must be 5 years old or less or seminal research.
The sources should be evidence-based, peer-reviewed research articles.
The synthesis may include both quantitative and qualitative research studies and national standards or guidelines.
In a brief summary statement, provide the numbers of research articles that are level I, II, and III and give a summary of the quality of the research articles.
Identify the main themes that emerge from the sources and describe how the intervention has been utilized to solve a similar problem.
Explain the differences (contrast the main points) in the research articles.
Present an objective overarching synthesis of research statement supporting the evidence-based intervention.
Part 4: Detailed Sequence of the Intervention
Provide an in-depth and exact explanation of the evidence-based intervention you implemented. Describe the intervention exactly as the intervention was implemented in the research articles and include the specific key details.
Use the research articles to create a detailed discussion describing each of the steps in the intervention implementation. The evidence-based intervention should be implemented as described in the research, with all the original authors’ intended components.
Describe in detail how each participant engaged with the intervention from beginning to end of the intervention. This should be so detailed that someone else who has never heard of your project can pick up your intervention description and implement this exactly as you described.
Methodology
Organizational Setting
Provide a detailed description of the setting for the project, including the following:
State the type of healthcare setting or community setting.
Describe the location.
Explain the typical patient and typical diagnoses.
Identify how many patients or participants are seen monthly and, if applicable, state the average length of stay.
Describe the interdisciplinary care team that contributes to the patient’s health management and outcomes.
Population
Describe the details of your specific project population.
Provide the final number of participants.
Explain inclusion and exclusion criteria for the project.
Describe how you enrolled the participants and if informed consent was needed.
Translational Science Model and Project Management Plan
Identify the theory or model that served as the framework for the project; translational science models are recommended.
Identify the primary concepts or steps of the model and how they applied to your project design.
Create the steps in your DNP practice change project that coincide with the theoretical concepts.
Include the timeframe for each step in your project plan (e.g., “in week 1, the data before intervention implementation was collected”). Describe the project management plan by starting with the timeline of weeks for the project (usual projects are 8-12 weeks, keeping in mind the requirement to implement the intervention for at least eight weeks).
The implementation plan must include a full eight weeks of intervention implementation.
Include the plan for the pre- and post-summative data collection.
Include the weekly plan for the formative evaluation to ensure high intervention fidelity. Develop a week-to-week formative evaluation plan utilizing observation, 1:1 discussions, huddles, leadership meetings, or other processes to describe your project management oversight during implementation.
For each step or activity in the intervention plan, identify the intervention week in which that activity occurred.
Plans for Sustainability
Create your detailed plan to sustain the project over time.
Identify the specific strategies used to ensure the project has ongoing evaluation and modification as needed to ensure its success after your implementation phase is complete.
Barriers, Facilitators and Ethical Considerations
Assess barriers and state how you overcame these obstacles.
Assess the facilitators and ways support was leveraged.
Evaluate changes with leadership that impacted the project.
Analyze ethical considerations and how private health information and/or data was collected.
State the IRB requirements from the university and practicum site.
Explain if there was a need for informed consent or assent.
Data Collection and Analysis Plan
Create your detailed data collection plan with a description of how you collected data and when.
If a retrospective chart audit was used, explain how you collected pre- and post-intervention data.
If a data collection instrument or tool was used, describe the instrument or tool and provide validity and reliability for this tool with a citation and matching reference.
Was permission to use the instrument or tool required? If so, state that you have permission and include the permission in the Appendix. If the instrument or tool is in the public domain, provide this information.
Explain the statistical analysis of the data collected.
Summarize how the analysis of the outcome determines the practice change project outcome and answers the practice question.
Required Resources and Budget
Describe the resources needed to implement your project. Include these resources in your final budget for the project. The final budget should be balanced.
Results
Describe the data analysis plan in detail, congruent with the main outcome of the project.
Describe the specific statistical tests utilized to analyze data.
Cite literature to support the statistical tests identified for analysis.
Provide a detailed summary of the project results and include charts and graphs to illustrate.
Conclusions
Provide a clear and logical summary of the project.
Provide two or three conclusion statements highlighting the main points for the practice change project.
Brings the manuscript to a reasonable and scholarly conclusion.
Clinical Relevance
Provide a clear and comprehensive discussion of the results.
Examine implications for all that apply to your project: nursing practice, individual nurse outcomes, patients, and the facility or healthcare system(s).
Provide recommendations for nurse leaders, future research, health policy, and education.
If plans for sustainability are not discussed earlier in this section, provide a clear and comprehensive discussion of sustainability plans.
