Your brainstorming and outline includes:
Choose a Common Core Standard and write it out in full.
For the purpose of having to effectively plan for lesson adaptation, do not choose Kindergarten content.

If you want a refresher about how to specifically identify your content, refer to How to Write Content recording about matching an objective to a Standard which you should have reviewed previously.
Bullet the specific facts you will teach (in one lesson) to identify how your content matches the Standard.
Choose Can-Do descriptors and write your language objectives and how you will assess them. As we have practiced last week: identify 2 WIDA skills with associated Can-do Descriptors, (two skills at level 2 – speaking, writing, listening or reading), and, describe in detail,1) your language objectives and 2)how you will assess each. Remember – this assesses your content using the Can-Do-Descriptor and the language your ELL will use.

Write some ideas how you activate background knowledge.
Write two strategies of how you will present content (I DO).
Referring to the SDAIE resource, UDL, or G.L.A.D resource, list 2 strategies for helping your ELL learn the content. Use specific examples of how you would implement each – just don’t paraphrase the description of the strategy. Focus on the strategies you will use during the teaching of the lesson (excluding those which mention slow down your speech, etc.). This is not about what the students will do but rather what you will do to help your ELL understand the content. Tell me what you will say and do to implement each strategy. Remember if you are using pictures, I need to see the pictures. If you are using a graphic organizer, I need to know which type and what information will be placed in it. Provide information specific to this lesson you are teaching.
