Choose one of the global issues topics discussed in class (terrorism, cybersecurity, humanitarian
interventions, refugee crises, religion, gender, climate change, the global environment, or global trade),
and apply it an analysis of US Foreign Policy in one of the regions we covered (Middle East, EU, Russia,
Asia-Pacific, Latin America, or Africa). Discuss how the US has approached the global issue in the
context of that region. Did the US make the right decision in your eyes? Were these decisions in pursuit
of the stated US national interest? Were the decisions in this region beneficial in addressing the global
issue? How has the relationship between the US and this region been affected? What future steps should
the US government take in regards to these global issues and this region?
