Compare and contrast the Democratic and the Republican parties. Identify at least three (3) ideological differences between the parties. What do the parties represent, what do they stand for?

Define, examine, and evaluate the Democrats’ and the Republicans’ platform/agenda current agenda. What is the Democrats’ agenda, and likewise for the Republicans, what do they hope to accomplish, and what are their major issues and concerns? Listen to the news, read newspapers, explore various websites, and determine how both the Democrats and Republicans are aiming to achieve their goals over the course of the next several years.

Of the items chosen in question #2 above, select any (3) three items/issues that specifically will have an impact on the area of human services. From your perspective, what potential impact will it have on the country if the proposed agendas are implemented or are carried out?
What can be done to engage more people in the process? To actually make the process more of a government for the people, by the people.

Including….In your opinion, are the parties on point and have a good handle on what is important to the masses, the majority of people in the country?
