PLEASE READ IT FIRST/ I ALSO INCLUDED THE ESSAY THAT WAS WRITTEN BEFORE. This assignment is the continuation of the previous one, and you need to continue to work with your group. This assignment aims to deepen your understanding of the theoretical perspectives that explain psychopathology and enhance your research and writing skills. Your job is to create and explain the case you described in the previous assignment. This process is often referred to as case formulation. A case formulation hypothesizes how an individual develops a specific disorder.
You must pick a theoretical perspective (paradigm) and use its concepts to explain the case. Please choose from the main perspectives: biological, psychoanalytic, behavioral, cognitive, or humanistic, and with the help of peer-reviewed scholarly articles, formulate a clear, concise argument explaining the disorder in question.
Hypothetical example: If you followed Hippocrates’ ideas (and it was a choice) of how disorders develop, you would be looking at the four humors, trying to figure out how they got out of balance. You would also look at the body temperature, face color, etc.

Parts of the paper:
Theoretical perspective
Choose a theoretical perspective that can explain the disorder. Give a general description of the perspective and how it explains mental disorders (in general). This section is a summary of the perspective itself. Perspectives to choose from: Biological, Psychoanalytical (psychodynamic), Cognitive, Behavioral, or Humanistic.
Explain the disorder
With the help of the theoretical perspective, explain the specific case you described in the Diagnosis Project. This part is more detailed than the general description. You have to look up/research how the theoretical perspective explains the disorder in question (this specific disorder, not mental illness in general). You have to use peer-reviewed scholarly articles to accomplish the task. Based on your research, formulate a concise argument explaining how the particular disorder probably developed. You most likely won’t have all the details about your exact case, but you have many findings that are relevant to the disorder.
Problems: Briefly summarize the symptoms and related issues in different areas of life—social, interpersonal, academic, and occupational.
Mechanisms: Factors that cause or maintain the client’s problems.
Origins: Factors or processes that lead to the symptoms, predisposing the client to develop these symptoms.
Precipitants (causes or stimuli): Factors that trigger or worsen the client’s symptoms and problems. These can be internal or external (life events) that trigger the symptoms.
Treatment
Research possible treatment options and briefly describe them. Important: You have to find treatment that is used by the theoretical approach you used to explain the disorder (for example, for the the behavioral approach, you need to find behavioral therapies and explain how they can treat the disorder). With the help of peer-reviewed journal articles, mention whether these methods work for other similar clients.
Conclusion
Summarize the two papers (diagnosis and explanation). The conclusion should be a summary of the entire case, linking all ideas together coherently to bring closure to the experience of reading the two papers.
5. References

Some ideas of suitable journals: Journal of Psychological Abnormalities, Journal of Abnormal Psychology, Journal of Abnormal Child Psychology, Journal of Psychology & Psychotherapy, etc.
