For this assignment, you will each prepare a PowerPoint presentation based on the clinical reasoning model for your grand rounds case. Your presentation should be professional.

History of the present illness

Review: Medications, lab results, previous assessments, and treatments.
Gather: Collect data based on your current assessment data. What assessment data did you gather during the time you cared for the patient during your shift?
Recall: Document the pathophysiology, anatomy and physiology, and pharmacology relevant to your case from a reliable source (e.g., textbook, journal article, practice guidelines).
Interpret: Compare normal versus abnormal findings.
Discriminate: What is relevant to your patient?
Relate: How do your findings relate to one another?
Infer: Interpret cues to formulate nursing diagnosis. List all nursing diagnoses that may apply.
Nursing diagnosis: Select the top three nursing diagnoses based on the prioritization frameworks. Identify which prioritization framework you used to make your decision.
Develop goals for the top three nursing diagnoses. Goals should be specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, and timely.
Identify what nursing interventions are needed to achieve patient goals.
How would you evaluate that the outcome has been met?
What did you learn? What could have been done differently?
How did the experience of helping your patient change you?
What would be needed for the future for your patient? Research areas, policy, ethical considerations?
