You will submit a 4000 word essay which outlines the development of Emotional and multiple Intelligences and evaluates emotional literacy in learning environments through the development of SEL initiatives. The essay title is as follows:

Critically discuss the advantages and limitations of SEL in schools
<

To achieve a pass you will meet the following criteria:

• Identify and explain the key competences in emotional intelligence (Goleman’s 5 competences);
<
• Explore the implementation of the various Social and Emotional Learning programmes, in particular the RS&HE Act 2020;
<
• Analyse key research findings related to emotional literacy in educational settings; and
<
• Critically evaluate key debates in the field of emotional literacy within Education.

Emotional Literacy and learning Task: – how your work is assessed

As well as assessing your work against the module learning outcomes and assessment criteria (below), your marker will also use the general characteristics guidance at the end of this document to award your final grade for your work. These descriptors also provide you with more general guidance to improve your mark.
