The primary focus and purpose of this presentation should be on how your field experiences combined with your new knowledge from the course content impacts practice and what insights you have developed in this process that you can share with beginning educators in your field to help them succeed in their profession (see bold components below): Speak directly to your potential audience who are beginning educators and provide them with a minimum of four tips of success through your firsthand experiences in the field together with your newly acquired knowledge from the course. Depending on your disciplines, they could be starting teachers in different subjects such as science history, physical education, art, etc., speech pathologists, health educators, and so on. Substantiate each of your tips with evidence from your field experiences combined with the chosen theorists and theories that inform your field experiences and explain how the theories connected or did not connect with your field experience. Synthesize your two field experiences, apply the educational psychology theories to teaching and practice, explaining how beginning teachers should be mindful of your tips across the content areas to meet the diverse needs of all students (i.e., striving readers and writers, bi/multilingual students, gifted, students with special needs, etc.). Discuss and explain specific teaching strategies and interventions that are rooted in your suggestions to help beginning educators survive and thrive. Highlight a core message in your video that can be utilized to authentically teach a subject matter through the lens of your insights/tips for success. Summarize what you’ve learned from the overall experience and how you will use this knowledge to enhance your own educational practice.
