Learning Partnership information:
My partner and I undertook the process of completing 3 indivudual written reflections each, which we in turn provided written feedback to each other using a template.
The first reflection/feedback exercise was slightly difficult as my partner was given my reflection on the date we discussed; however, I did not receive his reflection till the day before the task was due.
The second reflection/feedback exercise was also difficult due to both my partner and I misreading the due date for the task and required as extension.
The third reflection/feedback task was extremely challenging. My partner was provided my reflection but once again did not provide me the feedback required until hours prior to the due date. I stayed in regular contact with my partner, however I never received his third reflection and was therefore unable to complete the task.
The feedback I did receive in the first two exercise was helpful in making me think deeper regarding my own learn, however I did find the feedback slightly superficial.
I believe the enablers of the partnership was my communicate with my partner.
I believe the inhibitors were my partners ability to engage (e.g. personal commitments/issues), different work schedules, different learning styles, not being in person.
I would arrange to meet in person and ensure that deadlines were stuck to.
I plan to use the skills that I learn in a positive way. I believe that you must both be willing to complete the tasks and that I cannot be responsible for other people’s willingness to commit.
