Write an essay (250 words—one page, double spaced) summarizing your overall field experience.
Be sure to:
Include how your cooperating teacher is able to provide Positive Behavior Interventions & Supports while moving students forward academically.
Include the importance of providing children with a quality of life which is clearly connected to self-determination.
Include the behavior management plans at the secondary level (15% of the students) and tertiary level (5% of the students) in order to reduce and/or replace challenging behaviors observed in the classroom.
Include if the school has a primary behavior model that supports 80% of the students to behave appropriately during the traditional school day.
My overall experience is the teacher exuded classroom etique with professional performance the teacher did lack classroom control but she was extremely patient with the children. The teacher . She was very handsons with all students as well as the teacher did have a teachers assistant. She was a new teacher and this was her first year teaching. I do not feel the school provides the primary behavior model that supports 80% of student behavior. From my experience the school curiculum is fine but the students does not seem to be learning on grade level . I assest 2nd grade students and from my observations the majority of the class was on a pre k level due to a few of thekidswere not able to read nor articulate a complete sentence on paper.
