Throughout this unit, you’ve worked hard to collect information for your research proposal. You have written research questions and found five sources that help answer those research questions. Credibility
It is important to evaluate the credibility of a resource before using it in research. Ask yourself the following questions to evaluate your sources:
Find out the author’s background. What are the author’s credentials? Is he or she an expert on the topic?
Who’s behind it? Is the author associated with a particular organization? Is the organization biased?
What’s right for you? Is the resource relevant to your topic?
Complete the following activities.
An annotation refers to comments or notes of support. Add 3–5 sentences of annotations to justify each source that you have chosen.
Complete the following review activities.
Review your final research proposal draft one last time. Make sure that your topic focuses on some cultural aspect of one of the countries (Turkey, Armenia, Iraq, India, or Sri Lanka). Make sure that you have included 5–6 research questions and 5 sources with 3–5 sentences accompanying each to justify using the source that you chose.
