For this discussion board you will select an endangered species from any of the Kingdoms to explore further.
1. Give the name (common and scientific) of an endangered species (not one already extinct).

2. You must describe this organism (Kingdom, Phylum, etc would be helpful). You may include what it looks like in this description or what it is similar to.
3. You must tell me where its natural habitat is on Earth.
4. How close is it to extinction (or is it recovering)?
5. What has happened to make it endangered? This is where the evolution and ecology come into play. More than likely, either/or plays a role in the species’ current status.
6. Finally, if it goes extinct, what will be the effect? This means more than there are no more of their kind living. Organisms fit into ecosystems, food webs, biomes, etc. What will this do to impact other organisms?
Your species may be from any Kingdom studied. Remember, one organism per person (no duplicates).
Don’t forget to respond to another student’s post in an educational manner. This will include adding facts supported by an APA citation.
You must also include an APA citation for all researched material about your species. Remember, .com, .net, any news organization (tv, magazine, station, newspaper) is NOT considered an acceptable source.
