After reading Chapter 15, reflect on the information in the chapter and write a post that is a personal reflection on the material in the chapter. Do not summarize the chapter but instead reflect on the material and write a personal response to the material. What have you encountered, participated in, experienced, or seen that is related to the material? The class will be able to see your post so choose carefully what you share. Your discussion board will be graded according to the following guidelines.

Your initial post MUST have 250 words. An entry that is less than 250 words WILL NOT be graded. (Yes, even if you have 249 words, your post will not be graded and you will receive a 0 for the assignment. Make sure you check your word count!)

The following rubric will be used to grade your discussion board post.

1. Extensive connections to personal life experiences (not just a mention). Your post should be more about a personal connection to the material than the material in the chapter. (60 points)

2. Reply with a paragraph of 4-6 sentences. Your reply should NOT be a critique of the student’s post. (30 points)

3. Writing Mechanics – spelling, grammar, punctuation, etc. (10 points)
