Directions:
Students will provide a 2-page written critical analysis of the empirical literature regarding discipline versus punishment in adolescences.
Include references from at least 1 peer reviewed professional publications published within the past ten years from
counseling, social work, psychology, psychiatry, nursing, or closely related publication journals that adds to our
understanding of how human development and experiences relate to the field of counseling. Be sure to include in your
summary what was intriguing about the topic, a brief overview of the article, and how this may be instrumental to you as a
mental health clinician. You will be asked to give a brief 10–15-minute overview of your findings and the articles for the
class. Students are expected to follow APA 7th edition citation standards and should not include quotations which
exceed 1-% of the content. Points will be deducted for overuse of quotations
