Watch a pre-approved film or go to a (pre-approved) virtual campus event.
You may earn up to 20 extra credit points (10 points for each extra credit event).
To earn full credit, write a response that addresses the prompt and is at least 300 words, has few or no grammatical errors, and demonstrates engagement with the event or film.
Only one of your submissions may be on a film.
Note: As stated in the syllabus, if you are found plagiarizing, you will not be allowed to earn any extra credit points.
Prompt:
To earn the extra credit points, write a paragraph that is at least 300 words on the event/film and address the following:
Provide the title of the event and the speaker/speakers (or, if you watched a film, provide the title of the film).
What was the event/film about? Summarize the main ideas of the event/film.
What did you find interesting about the event/film? How did what the speaker/film said influence you? What is a meaningful “take-away”?
How does the event/film connect to the ideas and concepts we are discussing in this class?
Points Possible
