Your assignment is to retell the story of Sir Gawain and the Green Knight in a modern context. In other words, if we were telling the story today, what would it look like, what would the setting be, what would the challenge be? You should keep the major elements of the story- there should be:
A party/celebration
A stranger who enters (antagonist)
A challenge
A person (protagonist) to intervene and take someone else’s place for the challenge
A waiting period
A journey to satisfy the challenge
A mini challenge (like at the Castle) for 3 nights
A secret gift of protection
Final face off with the antagonist
