Ethical Business Leader Report – 20%
We have looked at Business Ethics and Accounting Ethics from the view of self and system,
from what you would do, what individuals in business contexts do, and what organizations do –
or we might say about all cases, what they should do in order to uphold ethical decision making
and behaviors.
Do we have any role models and examples of business leaders who have led ethically and
created the conditions for an ethical culture, climate, impact within his/her scope of
responsibility and even beyond?
Yes! The appendix chapter in Business Ethics has profiles of 9 business leaders committed to
ethical management. For each leader, there is a written summary, and a link to a video about
the company/executive. Who stands out to you? Why? What has s/he done that made a
difference, that demonstrated ethical behavior that impacted self and others? These are the
kinds of questions to ask yourself as you are choosing a leader to examine, write about, and
learn from.
Your assignment:
• Select 1 of the 9 executives profiled
• Read the summary, watch the video for the leader selected, do extra research that updates
the information, if available
• Prepare a written report in a Word doc discussing the leader you selected
• Link to the theories, concepts, models etc as covered throughout the semester
• Cite your references, in text and in References page.
• Length: 5 pages – does not include title page and references page
• Submit through Turnitin.

• 5 pages maximum
• Size 11 font, 1.5 line spacing, 1” margins
• Use correct structure: Introduction, Body, Conclusion
• Use correct paragraphing and section headings
