An elevator speech is a clear, brief message about you or your program. It communicates who you are, why you are valuable, and how you can benefit your stakeholders. It’s typically about 30 seconds to 1 minute, about the time it takes people to ride from the top to the bottom of a building in an elevator.
Elevator speeches can be about many topics, ranging from just explaining what you do as an SLMS to advocating for something specific, like an after-school book club.
In times where SLMS are often asked to prove our worth, it is crucial to be able to succinctly explain what you do and why you are valuable to students and teachers – that will be the focus of the elevator speech you will create for this assignment.

Compose your elevator speech that explains what you do and why you are valuable to students and teachers. The speech should be less than 200 words and about 30 seconds to a minute. ((this is due to me having to record myself giving the speech for approx. 30 seconds – 1 minute).
