Once genre is chosen, you will need to find two examples of the genre and ultimately answer the following question in essay: what does the genre tell you about the people who use the genre and about the scene in which the genre is used? Your answer to that question–which will be the thesis of your paper–will need to be supported by specific examples and explanations taken from your analysis of the genre.
