Paradigms dictate how a nurse thinks and approaches patient care needs. The LPN manager needs to acknowledge existing paradigms in patients, staff members, physicians, and nursing supervisors. Understanding and acknowledging the paradigms of all these people can result in more effective and meaningful care.
