You have just been hired and will “role play” as the lead event planner for “HFTP”.
Create
and submit a draft detailed program for ONE DAY only of the proposed
HFTP event, taking into the information you were given above. (see
requirements below)

As the lead event planner for HFTP, you are in charge of planning a conference in October 9-10, 2024 entitled “Binging Together the Science and Practice of Hospitality Finance and Technology”
The purpose of the conference is four-fold:
(1) To be the leader in convening and supporting new knowledge in the hospitality finance and technology domains
(2)
To extend its coverage beyond hospitality professionals to hospitality
academics and students, in order to enlarge its current and future
membership (and associated revenues).
(3) To offer its existing practitioner membership an opportunity for cutting-edge education and networking
(4) To connect members with academic and applied researchers for potential partnerships and research projects
(5) To offer current sponsors/exhibitors potential new opportunities, while developing new sponsors/exhibitors
Event Criteria:
You
are planning to host approximately 50-75 HFTP industry professionals,
20-25 invited researchers (speakers/panelists), and 10-15
sponsors/exhibitors for this intimate event.
The two-day conference (begins 9AM on the first day, and ends the following day at 4PM)
You will need:
at least one (1) large room (capacity 120)
at least two (2) separate meeting rooms (capacity 50 in each room) for educational sessions, networking space
catering for an opening event, coffee breaks, dinner (first night), and breakfast (second day)
a secure a hotel near the venue selected

You
are also considering offering the event as a hybrid event which will
have virtual components, available in particular to the HFTP young
professional community as well as students studying hospitality.
When creating the detailed program, use Appendix A of PCMA Proposal MSU Denver (pgs. 68-72) attached as pdf

You may format your detailed agenda in Excel like the MSU Denver proposal (it can be used as a template)
Your submission must be original and applicable to my event (the event would be called Leage and Rave since my
favorite 2 types of events are esports and concerts (raves) and League
of Legends is my favorite esports game that I watch. The goal of the
event would be raving while also playing video games. My venue will be
Capital Arena One in Washington, DC. The type of attendees that I would
hope to attract is between the ages of 21+).
You should introduce engaging innovative program elements and formats inspired from our September 21st class discussion
Include the HFTP conference name + the date for the ONE DAY you selected at the top of the Excel document.
