Instructions: Write a properly focused essay of descriiption. Create a dominant impression by using carefully chosen, well-organized details observed from an appropriate vantage point. Try to write so that the reader experiences your descriiption. Incorporate the use of figurative language and create “showing” sentences. Don’t just tell me that a couple has a bad relationship, for example. SHOW me what makes you think that.- Use vivid verbs and concrete nouns.
Go somewhere and describe where you are. (What are you experiencing? Feeling? Seeing? Hearing? Tasting? Smelling? Describe it in such a way that the reader will know exactly where you are without having to tell him or her.
