Purpose:
To engage with your classmates by sharing ideas on what types of questions would be appropriate to include in a Family Questionnaire.
Directions:
Section 6.7 Family Teacher Conferencing discusses sending out a questionnaire to families to get to know them better.
Asking people questions can be challenging as some may seem too personal, some too vague, and some could be answered on a registration form. This discussion board is going to allow you to get feedback on the types of questions you would ask.
For your original post:
Pretend you are the teacher. Write TWO questions, that you think would be effective to ask parents/families and why you are asking them.
Format it like this:
Who does the child live with? (I would ask this because it then gives me insight into who the child interacts with on a regular basis and if the child has siblings, extended family, etc).
Put your question here and format it like above.
For your replies to classmates:
Put the ONE question you are answering at the top of the post.
Pretend you are the parent and answer the question you chose.
Share whether the question is appropriate to ask or not.
