By starting the research process with an open ended question and not a statement, you can ensure that your research—and therefore your paper—will have a clear purpose. The goal for your research will ultimately be to answer this question.

Your Research Question
A brief analysis of your topic and lens, as well as any insight into your own stance on the topic.
Preliminary resources that you used to develop your question and inform yourself on the topic. These can be academic, but do not have to be.
