Introduction
Personalities in the WorkplaceWith every organization throughout the world, every person brings a different set of personalities, values, emotions, and beliefs. These characteristics are just some attributes of leaders hiring different individuals for the organization. Organizations would expect certain skills, abilities, personalities, and values in each individual they hire. Therefore, leaders must understand personalities in the workplace.
Differences in People Involving EthicsAn employee’s ethical values and individual personality influence how they behave. Different factors influence culture and are impacted by people’s choices. The individual’s ethics greatly impacts those choices. There is a connection between how ethically we behave and our individual values, personality, and perception. When employees or leaders have an external locus of control, there is a potential for unethical decision-making. Many people overestimate how ethical we are. Understanding individual differences greatly impacts ethical standings.
Leaders: Who They are and What They doWe look at leaders worldwide as the rise and fall of any organization. From wins to losses, leaders hold the company in their hands. Leadership influence others to work toward a goal and leaders exist at all levels of an organization that impact every employee in one way or another: personally, or professionally. However, how do we train them to be impactful, transformational leaders? How do we trust them? Some employees do not know their leaders or what they do. Knowing who your leader is and what they do heightens productivity and employee satisfaction or the complete opposite depending on the leader.
