Now it’s time to submit your final suggestions for the pilot survey.
Read through the comments submitted by your peers in Step 6B. Consider all comments. List your final selections for the pilot for each of the three sections.
Type your name AND group number at the top of the page.
For each of the three sections, start by listing all your original items from 6A. Then for each item, decide if you would like to keep the item as is (“Unchanged”) or make a revision to the item (“Changed”).
You are required to make improvements and changes on at least 8 of the 15 items (Changed items).
Provide a comment for each item. Describe why you left the item the Unchanged or Changed. Be specific. If you are changing the item, type the new (changed) item and describe your reasoning for the improvement.
If you are leaving the item as you originally proposed in Step 6A (unchanged), comment on why you think it is a good item and should be left unchanged. Use feedback from peer reviews to support your position.
Make sure you type out the full item, as you did in Step 6A.
Each comment should be at least 30 words in length (not including the item).
Underline the final proposed item.
Use this format:
Section 1 – Independent Variable

Item 2 from 6A: Changed or Unchanged: Your comment

Here’s an example:
Section 2: First Dependent variable is Importance of Exercise
I plan my day around doing some type of physical activity: Changed: Change item to – I plan my day around doing some type of moderately intense physical activity. I’d like to change this item because peers said that “some type of physical activity” is too vague and really could be just about anything other than sitting on the couch.
I find it easy to follow through with my intensions to exercise: Unchanged: My peers liked this item as is and I think it is an easy one for most people to understand the idea of intention to exercise. Most of us know if we are the type of person who follows through or comes up with an excuse.
Your suggestions will be discussed in the next Group Meeting. Final items will be selected in Group Meeting.
