For Step 6B you will evaluate the items submitted by two other members of your group with the end goal of creating the best set of questions for your pilot and final survey. Peer review assignments will be made shortly after the due date for Step 6A. Students who submitted 6A by the due data and time will be assigned to a peer to evaluate for 6B. If you are having trouble finding your peer review assignment, open this link Download open this linkfor an image of a sample page with an assignment. It should be in the upper right corner of the Step 6A/6B assignment page. It may not be visible on a phone – use desktop or laptop.
For each peer review:Evaluate each of the 15 items from Step 6A (3 sections, 5 items per section). Make a separate and distinct comment for each item.
You can “approve as is” or make a “suggestion for change” for each item. However, you must make a “suggestion for change” on at least half of the items (that is, at least 8 of the 15 items). All comments, whether an “approve as is” or “suggestion for change,” must be at least 30 words in length. Give your comments some thought and critical analysis. Tell the peer why you approve (why you think it will work for the survey) or provide a specific suggestion for change and why you believe the change is appropriate.
For clarity, provide a heading before each question critique. You do not need to retype the item but it must be correctly referenced. The format should look something like this:Section 1Section 1, item 1: (insert your comment)
Section 1, item 2: (insert your comment)
Section 1, item 3: (insert your comment)
Section 1, item 4: (insert your comment)
Section 1, item 5: (insert your comment)
Section 2Section 2, item 1: (insert your comment)
Section 2, item 2: (insert your comment)
Section 2, item 3: (insert your comment)
Section 2, item 4: (insert your comment)
Section 2, item 5: (insert your comment)
Section 3Section 3, item 1: (insert your comment)
Section 3, item 2: (insert your comment)
Section 3, item 3: (insert your comment)
Section 3, item 4: (insert your comment)
Section 3, item 5: (insert your comment)
How to Name Each File
Type each review as a separate document and attach as a peer review in word or pdf format. Go to assignment page, open the first peer review file. Attach your review to “Attach File.” Do the same for the second peer review.
Name each file as follows: Name of Assigned Peer “reviewed by” Your Name. For example, if you are reviewing a student named Karyn Greene and your name is Sam Smith, this is what your file name would look like: GreeneKarenReviewedbySmithSam
Also included the same information at the top of the document (your name and who you are reviewing).
I look forward to reviewing your comments.
