After watching the video clip, “What People Miss about the Gender Wage Gap” what does this research show has contributed towards a gender wage gap in the U.S. economy and why? Think critically about what this film says, as well as what are its blind spots? Through an intersectional lens, what does the video leave out of the conversation that you think should be important to include?

2.) Listen to the “Acting Straight and Dealing with Internalized Homophobia” podcast. Use symbolic interactionism to discuss how heteronormativity and homophobia in society impacted the Queer Collective hosts and affected their everyday social interactions and internal emotions. At the end of the podcast they discuss how to shift this in society and what LGBTQ folx and allies can do, what do you think? Anything to add?
