In response to the “question(s)” posed by the instructor, the student will submit one Discussion Board posting of approximately 100-200 words (usually about six to eight sentences). The maximum allowable length of a posting is 300 words. The posting must be scholarly and professional with no spelling, grammar, or punctuation errors. The posting must show clear evidence that the student has used the textbook and/or any resources provided by the instructor, reflected on the topic, and applied the information to his/her/their professional knowledge or practices. Personal anecdotes may be included but may not account for more than 50% of the posting content.
Any sources used in discussion board postings must be cited in APA format; if the ideas are not 100% original, the student must cite the source. The grading rubric for this assignment is below. Student postings (and replies) must be in the student’s own words. Blackboard Discussion Board is the only accepted method of submitting this assignment. Students are strongly encouraged to reply to the postings of classmates, but this is not required.
