1. We believe a wide range of personal perspectives, beliefs, and lived experiences are essential to making Duke a vibrant and meaningful living and learning community. Feel free to share with us anything in this context that might help us better understand you and what you might bring to our community.  (I would like it if the response talks about experiences from participating in Teen Council at my local library. Specifically, my perspective about libraries, one of the fewest government-funded hubs for free resources that are left, grew to acknowledge that libraries are very important parts of any community.)
2. Tell us about an intellectual experience in the past two years that found absolutely fascinating. (I would like it if the response talked about my experience from the comp-sci summer program Kode With Klossy. I was once skeptical about coding because I didn’t understand the fun of typing out words and numbers but through the program, I was taught so much more than coding. I learned how to make profound human connections and saw the enjoyment of designing in web development, despite not really enjoying art. overall why it was a great program for academic learning)
