For the final project, the student will select a topic in wrongful convictions and provide a history of the topic and how it relates to wrongful convictions overall. The student should incorporate examples of an exoneree(s) or an original victim of crime who has been impacted by that particular factor. Additionally, the term paper should address what the current literature and research finds regarding this specific topic as it relates to wrongful convictions. Lastly, the student should provide suggestions for remedies or reform that specifically address this particular topic. Effort should be made to arrive at original ideas on reform as well as to incorporate current reform measures and/or items currently being considered by the justice system.
The final paper for undergraduate students will be a 5–8 page paper in APA format due by 11:59 pm on 10/08/23.
The final paper for graduate students will be a 10-12 page paper in APA format due by 11:59 pm on 10/08/23. Undergraduate students must use at least seven scholarly sources for this paper. Graduate students must use at least ten scholarly sources for this paper.
