Course Embedded Assignment 1: Review of the Literature
• Students will read a variety of current peer- reviewed educational journals in order
to evaluate research related to school settings, problems faced by instructional
leaders and best practices and strategies for instructional issues.
• Students will critically examine, analyze, and, summarize their research findings in a
report which is to be submitted to Canvas and to Live Text (when available) for
assessment.
• Students will review recent educational research and journal articles related to:
o Problems related to school settings,
o problems faced by instructional leaders,
o problems related to best practices and
o problems associated with teaching strategies and other instructional issues
• Students will use their review of the literature in order to identify two problems.
• The two problems may be identified from the literature or may be problems in a
local school or school system.
