Module 2 Discussion
1717 unread replies.1717 replies.
Overview:
Interacting and engaging with your classmates is a vital part of learning and the graduate experience. In this course, you will participate in eight (8) graded discussions. These discussions provide a valuable opportunity to gain various perspectives on important topics in this course.
Instructions:
Select one (1) of the following prompts to respond to for your initial post. Please indicate which prompt you chose in the beginning of your initial post (this will not count against your word count). Then reply to at least two (2) other posts.
Do you think the world is experiencing a democratic recession? Why or why not? (Chapter 2)
What is the relationship among property rights, corruption, and economic progress? How important are anticorruption efforts in the effort to improve a country’s level of economic development? (Chapter 3)
Guidelines:
Your initial post must be 250-350 words.
Each reply should be 100-200 words. By offering suggestions, asking questions, providing counter-points, introducing new evidence/resources, etc., you will enhance your learning, as well as that of your colleagues. You must reply to at least two (2) posts for full credit.
Staying within the word count range is extremely important and part of the grading criteria. This ensures the discussions are substantive yet not overwhelming. Additionally, clarity and conciseness are important skills for business. It’s not just what you say–it’s how you say it.
Due to the interactive nature of discussion boards, no late submissions will be possible.
Initial posts and replies should be supported with evidence from the textbook and outside sources (new sources that you find that are not provided in the module). APA format is not required for references in discussion boards, but you must provide in-text citations for all sources and provide links to any new sources at the end of your post. In-text citations do count towards the word count but links listed at the end do not.
Example of an in-text citation: (Hill, 2023)
