Although many of the topics we read about in this class are discussed either in the abstract or in a historical context, they refer to structures and systems which persist through the present. In interacting with this course material, you should be able to learn the patterns and modes of repetition through which the actions, behaviors, ways of thinking, or occurrences manifest in today’s global reality. In this week’s activity we will be practicing making this connection between text and present. (SLO A, B)
