As managers, it’s important that we examine our own thoughts, behaviors, values, and biases to ensure we are thoughtful and consistent in promoting inclusivity and equity. In this Discussion, you’ll have the opportunity to analyze a time when your personal biases affected your choices. Based on this analysis, you’ll decide whether you would act differently if faced with a similar situation in the future. First, think about a situation from your personal or professional life in which your preconceptions or biases affected your behavior and/or decisions. Then, post your response to the following:
<
<
Briefly describe the situation, the assumptions you made, and whether these assumptions turned out to be accurate.
<
Identify the impact(s) of your assumptions on you/your behaviors and on others.
<
Examine what you would—and would not—do differently if faced with a similar situation in the future.
