I just need the pictures to be taken and the 2 paragraphs written.
Instructions:
Photograph and Upload a minimum of 15 photographs or as many as 22+ photographs on your Instagram account that reflect and reveal focused attention on your curiosities and interests through your photographic vision and sense of technical execution and craftsmanship in preparation of developing a conceptually cohesive portfolio of photographs.
NOTE: The Photographic Portfolio is required to include only new photographs made specifically for the Final Project that reflect a conceptually cohesive series of photographs.
NOTE: As previously discussed, it is advised to Develop and Photograph your Idea(s) and Subject Matter in an ambitious manner so as to avoid the “stereotypical and/or cliché” photograph, including such familiar photographs as sunsets, flowers, posed portraits, pets, restaurant meals, and/or tourist locations such as Balboa Park, the Zoo / Wild Animal Park or Amusement Parks in which the Aesthetic Considerations have not been used in a manner that challenges how these type of photographs were taken prior to the start of the class.
NOTE: Your photographs should reflect the Concepts that have been presented in each Module throughout the class.
NOTE: It is recommended that you give consideration to the intentional and purposeful use of Color (Color of Light and Descriptive Color) or Grayscale as you make your photographs and how they can be cohesive as both an idea and visually.
Submission Considerations
You are encouraged to Submit More Than the Minimum Photographs assigned to strengthen the breadth and depth of visual inquiry and photographs created for your portfolio.
In addition, it is recommended that your submission demonstrates careful attention to the Image Editing and Selection Process.
NOTE: Only Photographs made since the start of the class will be accepted. Please do not submit photographs previously made before the start of the class.
Repetitive and/or Similar Imagery
Submitting more photographs than the minimum requirement doesn’t necessarily mean your evaluation will earn a higher grade.
Rather, it is beneficial that your submission demonstrates consideration on both the Minimum Photograph Requirement as well as the Range of Photographs Submitted in response to the conceptual ideas outlined in the assignment prompt(s).
NOTE: If you do submit similar photographs from the same circumstance, this would be fine if this is helpful for you to learn more about editing and selecting images. These should posted as with the Multiple-Image option within One Individual Posting.
Examples of duplicate and/or repetitive-type imagery include:
Portraits of the Same Person with Similar Poses / Gestures or at Different Locations
Photographs of the Same Landscape with Similar Framing, Vantage Point and/or Lighting Circumstance
Photographs of Same Arrangement / Still Life with Similar Framing, Vantage Point and/or Lighting Circumstance
Each Multiple-Image Posting of Similar Photographs would count as One Photograph. On the Canvas Assignment Submission, write a reflective statement (minimum of2 paragraphs recommended) that describes in depth how the work is Visually Engaging and Intellectually Stimulating / Emotionally Responsive – what may the collection / series of photographs be about, including the possibilities of literal, emotional and thematic meanings.
First Paragraph – Visually Engaging:How and/or why you were Inspired to Develop the Subject Matter?
Discuss how you used the Aesthetic Considerations (see above) to make the photographs Visually Engaging?
Second Paragraph – Intellectually Stimulating / Emotionally Responsive:Interpretive Possibilities – What is the Portfolio about?
What Intellectual and Emotional Meanings does the Portfolio suggest?
Number your responses ( 1 – 2 ).
