Today, picking an office suite is a little harder. Google uses Google Apps (aka G Suite and now Google Workspace) which offers many software choices to help with personal use including Word Processing, Spreadsheets, Presentations and others. It rivals Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint, etc.). So, what’s best for you?
You will need to research the differences between the two software suites. What all is included with Google Apps and Microsoft Office? What are the costs of each suite and is anything free? Do the companies utilize the Clouds in any way? In particular, compare Google Docs, Sheets and Slides vs. Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Are they similar and if they are, how? Are their differences and if there are, how? What do you feel in the pros and cons of each suite to help you decide which is right for you?
There is some help on Google Apps back in the Google Project folder just prior to getting into this project. But, really all you have to do is search the Internet for information and facts about the two office suites.
Please use Microsoft Word to create your document. You will need to create at least a three (3) page Research Paper (more is better, less you will lose points), typed report with normal one-inch margins and “double spaced” pages. You will need a cover page (does not count towards one of your three pages) with your full name, a related title of your report and the current date. You also need a Work Cited page and the end of your report (again, does not count towards your three pages). Images and text copied from the Internet does not count towards your three page count.
