Background: It’s time to combine all the concepts you have learned in this course, including how leaders can shape, develop, and nurture organizational culture and impact organizational effectiveness. Apply these concepts to a specific program proposal for the Omega College Case Study that will positively impact the organization’s culture. This integration is crucial in developing research-based, high-impact proposals that have a chance to receive funding.
Instructions:
To prepare for your week 7 assignment, this week, you will write a 3-4 page paper assessing the current practices of the organization you chose and discussed in your week 3 assignment.
Example: If you want to add additional employees, you must work with your organization to use labor and benefit costs based on its compensation practice. You will document how to develop each line item with a narrative describing the development. The paper needs to clearly show how your initiative is both rooted in best practices of HRD for organizations AND directly make sure you explain how your proposal addresses the problem of practice you have identified.
This paper should include the following components:
A strong introduction that includes a specific thesis statement for the paper- grabs the reader’s attention and tells the reader why the paper is being written and what the author intends to accomplish.
Describe the identified Problem of Practice – make sure to explain why it is a problem of practice both based on HRD literature and also based on your own experience within the organization.
Recommend an initiative that you believe will improve your organization based on the problem of practice. Link the initiative to the HRD literature as a best practice, and clearly demonstrate how your initiative proposal solves the problem of practice you have identified.
Include a conclusion stating how the objectives outlined in the thesis statement have been met.
Submit: Your final paper uses APA formatting with citations and references for each article or chapter.
