Your report should have the following sections, with the headers listed below:
Abstract – a brief executive summary of the entire report, 250-words max
Introduction and Methods – summarize the lab procedures as briefly as possible
Lab Results / Data – only your detailed drawings (and descriptions) from the lab; they can be redrawn to look better
Data, drawings, and descriptions (0-10 points)
Conclusions – in this section you should explain your Results with clear and specific conclusions
What are some visible differences between cyanobacteria, algae, protozoa, and fungi?
What kind of life is found in pond water?
Was your Lab 12 isolation successful? How can you tell?
What kinds of microbes did you find in yogurt?
Possible Report Errors:
Abstract incomplete / abstract too long / abstract doesn’t explain results
Improper scientific names / repeated grammar errors / no paragraphs
Larger than 12-point text / More than double-spaced
Missing content / report longer than 4 pages (not including data sheets or this form)
Improper citations for any source or image
