This unit explores the decisions and dilemmas faced by members of the courts, (judges, prosecutors, defense attorneys, etc.). The decisions whether ethical or not can lead to mistrials, wrongly convicted individuals or ethical misconduct.

Discuss the use of discretion in the legal profession and how it applies to scenarios involving plea bargaining.

Explain the usage of attorney-client privilege and the process of plea bargaining.
<
Discuss the role that ethical misconduct plays within the legal system and the implications of such misconduct.

Identify various types of misconduct and propose ways to limit this misconduct.
