Memoir -What makes a good story?
For this option, think of a story from your own life – it could be something you’ve done or seen, or a story you’ve heard, perhaps from your family or friends, or a story that you tell to your kids, friends, etc. Tell this story in writing, and think about what makes it a good story. Why do people tell it? What are they trying to teach or communicate about themselves or the world? What response does it get? Consider some of the elements we’ve discussed this term (no need to mention them all), like plot, character, setting, POV, suspense, theme, etc… how do these aspects help make it a good story? Why is it memorable?
