Their extensive clinical experience and training equip them to identify health problems and potential risks in the population they serve.
Identifying health problems within the community or clinical setting allows ANPs to offer effective, tailored interventions, leading to improved health outcomes. This can include addressing chronic diseases, mental health issues, preventive care, and more (Buerhaus, 2018). By understanding the specific health problems prevalent in their communities, they can provide care that is culturally and contextually appropriate (Grossman & Valiga, 2021).
Moreover, ANPs can use this knowledge to influence healthcare policy and advocate for resources and interventions that can address these health problems at a systemic level.
