Post: This discussion assignment is designed to help you identify financial metrics used by the higher-ed organization in the Omega College Case Study in planning and (importantly) how the organization uses that data to make informed decisions about how they steward their resources (people, sales, expenses, facilities, technology). As leaders, a core function is how we utilize financial information to help us prioritize resources and execute our strategic plan.
Based on your knowledge of the Omega College Case Study, create a 2-3 minute video of yourself addressing the following:
1) Identify and define 2-3 financial metrics the organization utilizes.
2) Critique how the organization uses these metrics to make stewardship decisions for the benefit of the organization (or not).
3) Make recommendations for the organization based on your analysis, especially within the context of the performance management content we have been reviewing in this course. Recommendations can be specific to an organization or more general principles.
