Team Project (Strengthening the Plan for Advocacy – A Peer Review)
Purpose: When DNP Projects occur in small settings (or over a short period of time), there is often concern that the practice change is “not enough” for doctoral work. Advocating for best practices by offering tools is a way to scale the DNP Project and impact policy.

Directions:
1. First, review the major components of your DNP peer’s project.
2. As a peer review, identify and discuss at least three opportunities to expand the project in the area of “advocacy” resources related to the peer’s DNP Project.
3. Submit suggestions (as a written proposal) for your DNP peer’s project in at least 3 of the following areas below:
A national engagement activity
Connecting with a local legislator’s office (related to the DNP Project)
Identify a state-level policy
A local health fair
A local advocacy activity
A national policy
Locate additional tools and resources (links, online resources, patient/provider education tools) to support the peer’s DNP Project
Any other area that your classmate proposes to support advocacy
