This is a continuation of last assignment that you helped to write. I have also included the last essay titled gap analysis which may help to write about the headings “Discussion” and “Recommendations and Revisions.
“First, individually review the data (case scenario, instrument & data file) to determine the status of the organization after the QI project was implemented.
Analyze data using descriiptive, frequency, and graphing methods. You will also use t-tests to analyze data. The case scenario provides helpful questions and hints that may be used to guide your data analysis.
Afterwards, Using the SPSS statistical output, follow the writing criteria for the headings “Discussion” and “Recommendations and Revisions”
The instructions on what to write are as followed:
Discussion
Discuss the findings of your QI project in light of the impact it had or may have on your organization. Based on the case scenario and your evaluation of outcomes from data analysis,
what impact did this QI initiative have on your organization? Are there still problem areas that need to be addressed? If there were problem areas that were not improved in the first cycle, why
do you think this was? Are there still barriers that exist to QI implementation? What do findings mean for your organization? (Ex: decreased costs, improved patient or employee satisfaction,
better use of resources, etc.).
Recommendations & Revisions
Discuss project recommendations and revisions to the QI plan. These decisions are based on your outcome data. What are your goals/objectives for the next cycle? If there were problem
areas that were not improved in the first cycle, what will you change to address these areas of concern? These should be other EBP best practices that you identified in the Gap Analysis that were not implemented in the original QI plan. If there were no areas of concern, will you implement the project throughout the whole organization in the next cycle? Will you add
additional EBP interventions?
