Each week you will write an annotated bibliography (in the field of law you would call them Briefs) highlighting the key points of a peer-reviewed article relevant to the week’s topic. It will consist of a summary of the most important points or components in the peer-reviewed article. The reflection paper should be brief, concise, and completely in your own words.
You must find a peer-reviewed article from the last 10 years that covers a topic reviewed that week. The total page length should be between 1-2 pages in APA format. A title page is not necessary, and the reference can be listed at the top of the page to act as the title. The article may be an experiment, review, opinion, commentary, etc. so long as it is peer-reviewed and related to one of the course topics. You can use the OSU Library to find free articles. You do not have to pay for access!
The assignment will be graded as follows:
1 point: proper APA citation/reference at the top of the page
2 points: published within the last 10 years & is peer-reviewed
1 point: briefly states the hypothesis/research question
1 point: briefly explains why the hypothesis/research question is important (i.e., justification for why they did what they did)
2 points: briefly describes procedure (what participants did) and the IV/DV
3 points: thoughtful discussion connecting the article’s findings to lecture (how does it relate to class, what unknown questions remain, what does this mean for the field, etc.)
