The goal of the case study assignments are to strategically evaluate the student’s knowledge on a variety of topics covered in the text by use of a “real-world” scenario. Since the cases used in the course are brief in nature the student must answer each of the questions at the end of the case study with theories and concepts from the textbook in mind. The case study assignments are to be completed individually by the student, no group work is allowed. It is mandatory that the answers to the case studies questions exhibit critical thinking and theoretical rationale. The page length for each of the case studies will range between 3 and 5 pages depending on the case details. The content of the written work in the case studies should be free of grammatical and spelling errors and commensurate with college level scholarship and critical thinking skills. Each assignment should include a title page and a reference page (if sources are used – not a requirement, but allowed). The title page and reference page do not count toward the minimum page requirement of 3 pages of body. The paper should fully comply to APA format (6th edition). The rubric provided below will be used to grade each case study. Selected Case Studies from the Textbook (Dubrin, 7th Edition): 1.
