This is a report paper for my data analytics final project about price optimization. I was provided with a unique data set and followed the instructions in the case prompt. I already ran the results using the Excel solver. Consequently, whatever you see on the Excel spreadsheet I am providing are the final results you can reference when analyzing the data to answer the questions in the TASKS and SUBMISSION sections of the case prompt.
The following section is the only section that I could not figure out how to analyze in Excel:
ArtMix has already retained a marketing research firm, and this company has performed a marketing research study (assumed to be a random sample) that has estimated the value prospective customers place on each of the individual items, reported in the accompanying dataset. The marketing research firm also collected some customer information about the customers who participated in the study, like:
– OnlineShopper – (0/1) – Indicates if they have ordered online from the store website in the last year
– TookStoreClass – (0/1) – Indicates if the customer has taken an ArtMix studio class in the last year
– Over40 – (0/1) – Indicates if the customer is over 40 years old
– Estimated Annual HH Income
– NumberArtInterests – The number of art topic interests the customer selected they first completed a “Welcome New Customer” survey at some point in the past
– LastYearTotalSpend – Total Spend at the store observed by customer last year
I am unsure how to analyze this section of the data provided in my dataset (see dataset sheet in Excel document), so please just try to write whatever you can about this in the best way possible. Maybe you understand it better than I did 🙂

Please keep in mind that the dataset and topic that he is discussing in the videos are different. Make sure you follow the specific instructions from the ArtMix Case prompt.
Also, please make sure you look at all the sheets from the Excel file I will be providing. There are 7 in total. The DATASET one is the one that has the dataset provided to me by the professor. And all the other ones are the ones that have the analysis I already ran with the solver.
Again, I already ran everything with the solver! All I need assistance with is answering all the questions by writing the 4-page paper. I took the opportunity to take the screenshots the professor asked to include in the appendix section.
